About Atlas Development Group in Austin, TX

25 Years of Experience Behind a Brand-New Company

Atlas Development Group is a locally owned and operated remodeling and construction company serving Austin, Westlake Hills, Bee Cave, Steiner Ranch, Lago Vista, and Webberville. We're a brand-new business—just a couple months old—but we're built on 25 years of combined industry experience between the owner and his father.

Before launching Atlas, we spent years working as subcontractors for large companies, handling high-volume projects that required speed and precision. We learned the craft inside and out, developed our standards, and eventually realized we wanted to build something of our own. That's how Atlas was born—not from a business plan, but from a genuine desire to do this work on our own terms and bring that same level of skill to clients throughout Austin.

What drives us is straightforward: we really do enjoy what we do, and not in a cliché way. There's something satisfying about transforming a space, solving construction challenges, and seeing a project come together the right way. That background of working under tight deadlines and demanding standards taught us what quality looks like—and what corners never to cut.

When you work with Atlas, you're getting family experience behind every project. The owner's father has been in this industry for decades, and that knowledge carries through in how we approach each job, from initial planning to final walkthrough.

From Subcontractor to Austin Business Owner

The transition from working for others to running our own company wasn't just about independence—it was about control over the details that matter. After years of executing other people's visions at volume, we wanted the freedom to do things right without being rushed, to build relationships with clients directly, and to stand behind our work without layers of management in between.

Austin's mix of historic homes, modern builds, and everything in between means every project brings different challenges. We've worked across the area—from Westlake Hills to Lago Vista to Webberville—and that exposure taught us to adapt our approach based on what each property and each client actually needs, not just what fits a standard template.

Our approach is practical: we provide free estimates the same day you reach out, we explain what we're doing and why, and there are no price changes after the quote. What we say upfront is what you'll pay at the end. That clarity comes from experience—we've seen enough projects to estimate accurately and enough surprises to know how to plan for them.

One example of how those years shaped our standards: we install a waterproofing membrane on every shower, not because code requires it everywhere, but because we've seen what happens when moisture finds its way behind tile. It's the kind of detail that doesn't show in the finished product but makes all the difference five years down the line.

What You'll Experience Working With Atlas

You'll work directly with the owner on your project. There's no sales team, no project coordinators acting as middlemen—just straightforward communication with the person who's actually doing the work and making the decisions. That means questions get answered immediately, concerns get addressed on the spot, and you always know who's accountable.
